Meet the Manager - Rebecca Lane
"From the age of 2 , I had always dreamed of being a ballerina. I participated in Ballet and tap classes 2-3 times a week. I was also part of The English Youth ballet company as well as The Bristol youth ballet company.
At sixteen I decided that I really wanted to make a career in the world of dance. Once I had completed & passed my GCSE's, I was fortunate to be awarded a scholarship to attend The Hammond School in Chester (One of the Top Theatre Schools in the UK) where I trained in Ballet, Tap, Contemporary, Commercial Jazz & Spanish. The schedule I had at The Hammond School was extremely demanding, with long days and strenuous exercise regimes.
Attending the theatre school and moving away from home at such a young age really helped me to develop into a more independent, responsible young adult. In my final year I was lucky enough to be invited on a European tour the majority of which was spent Paris of which I thoroughly enjoyed. After leaving the Hammond I gained useful experience working for a BBC Drama , while also teaching repertoire to GCSE dance students at a local high school.
As most people know, a dancers career doesn't last long, so I decided to make a career change. I had taken a great interest in the fitness industry and really believed this was where I belonged. I have now been in the industry for the past 6 years, working exclusively in Ladies only gyms.
Working for LadyZone gives me huge job satisfaction -none more so than helping our ladies achieve their health and fitness goals .There is never a day when I don't want to be in work. More importantly, I love practicing what I preach. By using the circuit at least 2-3 times a week I have even noticed a difference in my own body from using the 30 minute regime."
